Rachel Reeves to expand small business loan scheme
More smaller businesses could qualify for government-backed borrowing under planned rule changes. Rachel Reeves is expected to announce the package during her Mansion House speech next Tuesday, including a larger Growth Guarantee Scheme and longer loan terms. Eligibility could rise from £45m turnover to as much as £54m higher, with loans lasting up to 10 years.
