Six in ten Brits fear economy worsening soon

UK consumer confidence has collapsed to a record low following the Middle East conflict, with 64% of people expecting the economy to worsen, a British Retail Consortium survey found. Polled between March 10 and 13, 2,000 adults reported fears of higher inflation, falling personal finance confidence and rising energy costs hitting UK households and businesses hard.
