Trump eyes 'Project Freedom Plus' return for Hormuz
Tension over key shipping routes could rise if talks with Iran break down and naval escorts return. Donald Trump said on Saturday the United States would launch a renewed mission called “Project Freedom Plus” if negotiations fail to progress. He had paused Operation Project Freedom earlier this week, which was used to guide ships through the Strait of Hormuz under US military escort.
