34.8C breaks UK's May temperature record

People across the UK experienced unusually high temperatures as the country's May heat record was broken. London's Kew Gardens recorded 34.8C on Monday, surpassing the previous May high set in 1922 and again in 1944. Other areas, including Heathrow, also saw temperatures above 33C, while Wales hit a new May record of 32.2C.
