Metropolitan Police have charged a 53-year-old man after a victim was found with fatal stab wounds in Wimbledon town centre on Saturday 22 February. The force launched a murder investigation after the attack and the suspect appeared in court on Monday. The victim's identity has not yet been released by police. The killing is one of several fatal stabbings investigated by the Met in recent days, with a man also fatally stabbed in Walthamstow on 21 February and a murder victim named as Luke Brereton, 41, on 23 February.
