Thames Water Investors Warn Against State Control
Millions of customers could face slower repairs and delayed upgrades if Thames Water enters temporary public ownership. Investors involved in a rescue deal told the Guardian that nationalisation would hold back the company’s recovery as talks continue over its financial future. The London & Valley Water group said Thames Water needs £10 billion in urgent investment, while the company is carrying £17.6 billion of debt.
