Manchester police operation bigger than a Derby match
City centre travel will likely be disrupted today as police use extra powers, including enhanced stop and search, to manage potential trouble during protests. Far-right group Britain First held a march in Manchester, with counter-protesters also gathering in Piccadilly Gardens. About 1,000 Britain First supporters were due to gather on Store Street before a 1.15pm march.
