David Lammy Blocks Transfer of Jimmy Mizen's Killer
Justice Secretary David Lammy intervened to block Jake Fahri's transfer to an open prison. Fahri, convicted in 2009 for the 2008 killing of Jimmy Mizen, was initially released in 2023 but recalled after he released drill music under the name TEN, referencing the murder. The Parole Board recommended moving him to a low-security jail, but Lammy blocked the move for public protection. Mizen's mother welcomed the decision, stating Fahri hadn't changed.
