US Shuts Three Embassies After Iranian Drone Attacks

US Shuts Three Embassies After Iranian Drone Attacks

The United States closed its embassies in Saudi Arabia and Kuwait and reported a drone strike at its Dubai consulate as Iran expanded retaliatory attacks across the Gulf. A fire broke out at the Dubai compound but no injuries were reported. The State Department ordered non-emergency evacuations from six countries including the UAE, previously considered one of the safest corners of the Middle East. Over 1,600 Americans have requested help to leave.
