Man loses job after racist gesture at World Cup
Mexican engineering boss Ulises Fernando Bernal Miramontes was caught on video making slanted-eyes poses at a Korean content creator during the South Korea vs Czech Republic match last Thursday. The video, uploaded by Yoon Su-jin, a personality followed by millions, ignited widespread fury, garnering more than 120,000 shares and 65,000 comments. Bernal has since issued a public apology and was ousted from his post as the head of a Mexican engineering organization.
