Over 30,000 people displaced in Lebanon, says UNHCR

The UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR) reported that escalating Middle East violence has caused major population movement. As of Monday, more than 31,000 people were sheltering in collective sites across Lebanon following Israeli evacuation orders for over 53 villages. UNHCR also reported increased crossings into Syria from Lebanon, with around 11,000 people crossing on Monday — higher than the daily average. The agency said it cannot yet confirm the total number of people on the move inside Iran.
