200,000 migrants arrived in UK via Channel boats

The total number of small boat migrants arriving in the UK has now passed 200,000 since 2018, a figure equal to Norwich's entire population. This 200,000 total was passed Friday morning, after a boat carrying some 70 people entered British waters. Confirmation by the Home Office is due on Saturday, showing an average of 66 migrants cross the Channel each day.
