20,000 lost bags: BA demands £10M from Heathrow

Frequent breakdowns in Heathrow Airport's baggage system led to substantial passenger disruption and issues in 2025. British Airways is pursuing a claim for as much as £10 million in damages from Heathrow, citing recent operational failures that resulted in an "unacceptable" level of disruption. The airline experienced three outages, including one incident last weekend where 20,000 items of luggage were lost.
