Government to Choose Heathrow Third Runway Developer by November End
A decision on which developer will build Heathrow's third runway is due by the end of November, the transport secretary has confirmed. Two competing proposals are being evaluated: one from Heathrow Airport and another from Arora Group, led by hotel magnate Surinder Arora. Heathrow's £49 billion proposal encompasses a third runway and supporting infrastructure, including an underground road tunnel and M25 expansion. Arora Group's competing bid proposes a more compact runway design costing £25 billion that avoids M25 modifications.
