17% of Windows PCs still run Windows 10, posing security risks
About 17% of Windows devices, or one in six, are still using Windows 10, which stopped getting official support in October 2025. These older machines have nearly three times more security flaws than Windows 11 devices, with 66% rated as "high" or "critical" risks. Lansweeper, an asset management company, is urging users to upgrade or pay for extended security updates.
