UK sanctions 300 Russian entities, targets Transneft, 9 banks.
On the fourth anniversary of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the UK announced its largest sanctions package since the war began — nearly 300 new designations. The centrepiece is Transneft, which transports over 80% of Russia's oil exports. The UK also targeted 175 companies in the '2Rivers' shadow fleet network, one of the world's largest operators of sanction-busting tankers, along with 48 vessels and nine Russian banks. The total number of UK-sanctioned Russian entities has now passed 3,000.
