Around one in twelve people in the UK might have prediabetes, a serious condition often without symptoms. Dr Dominic Greenyer, a Leicester GP, warned many only find out through routine blood tests during Diabetes Week. Without action, about one in four with prediabetes could get type 2 diabetes in five years.
