1,200 Plymouth homes leave after WWII bomb found

Around 1,200 Plymouth residents must leave their homes for up to two nights following the discovery of a suspected World War Two bomb. Police and Royal Navy ordnance disposal teams are managing the evacuation after the device was found on a building site in Flamborough Road on Wednesday. A 400-metre cordon is in place, and three local schools, including Beechwood Primary Academy, are closed.
