Report finds Russian oil exports exceed pre-war levels
Marking four years of conflict, President Zelenskyy recently asserted that Vladimir Putin’s strategic ambitions have crumbled. Paradoxically, Finnish data shows Russian petroleum exports currently exceed 2022 levels, with India, China, and Turkey serving as primary buyers. While sanction gaps permit high trade volumes, mandatory price cuts have severely eroded the Kremlin’s actual income. Essentially, Moscow is shipping more fuel but is seeing diminished financial returns compared to the pre-invasion era.
