Police scoring train firms on harassment response
Improved passenger security from sexual harassment is expected with the implementation of fresh scoring regulations. Law enforcement agencies will evaluate rail operators against eight specific benchmarks, such as support for victims and the prevention of offenses, with a passing score of 70% being mandatory. Failing the evaluation will not result in fines or legal sanctions for the companies involved.
