Pokémon Go launched in 2016, with millions still playing.
The mobile application, launched in 2016 and incorporating GPS and augmented reality features, has reportedly surpassed one billion downloads. It is estimated that players have traversed more than 100 billion kilometers within the game, with millions still accessing it daily. Michael Steranka, who was then the product vice president at Niantic, stated that the game's objective was to bring people together.
