Salmonella outbreak linked to chicken kills one in UK

More than 340 people across seven European countries have fallen ill in an ongoing salmonella outbreak, with the UK reporting 207 cases and one death. While imported eggs are a suspected source, European health officials are also investigating chicken products after some patients ate chicken meat. Experts expect more cases until appropriate control measures are implemented for vulnerable groups.
