Philip Rycroft urges UK rejoin EU, Brexit promises fail.
Britain may need closer ties with Europe again as Brexit promises on trade and growth have not delivered. Philip Rycroft, who led the Brexit department, said the UK should begin talks about rejoining the European Union in comments published on 24 April. He said a major US trade deal now looks unlikely and called rejoining a long process.
