Deepfake X-rays now good enough to fool doctors
AI-generated fake medical scans have become convincing enough to trick trained radiologists, raising concerns about fraudulent insurance claims and tampered diagnoses. In controlled tests, doctors had limited success identifying the fakes, particularly when they weren't told AI-generated images had been mixed in with real ones.
