Apple's new Mac Studio has huge memory for local AI tasks

Apple has launched new Mac Studio desktops with powerful M5 Max and M5 Ultra processors, offering massive unified memory for local AI. The M5 Ultra model can be configured with up to 512GB of memory, which lets it run large language models on the device. Johny Srouji, Apple's chief hardware officer, called the Mac Studio the "ultimate desktop for on-device AI."
