Will other airlines go bust?

Ryanair bosses believe some rival carriers could collapse entirely this winter if fuel remains expensive. Smaller airlines, or those less hedged against price rises, are more vulnerable. This could mean fewer flight options and potentially higher prices on remaining routes if competition decreases.
