Why is Canada helping Ukraine?
Canada has been a strong supporter of Ukraine since Russia's full-scale invasion in 2022. This commitment stems from shared democratic values and a desire to uphold international law. The recent visit by President Zelenskyy solidified this partnership, with Canada offering significant financial aid and military support, particularly for air defence and drone technology, to help Ukraine defend itself.
