Why do Gen Z coin new words?
Younger generations, particularly Gen Z and Gen Alpha, are digital natives who spend significant time in online communities. These spaces, like the forums where 'mogging' originated, foster rapid creation and spread of new slang. This language acts as a social marker, strengthening group identity and evolving quickly as it moves into wider use.
