Why do clubs reject bids?

Clubs reject bids for various reasons. They might believe the player is worth more than the offer, or they might consider the player crucial to their team and simply not for sale, as Crystal Palace indicated with Sarr. Sometimes, it's also a tactic to drive up the price, hoping the interested club will come back with a higher offer.
