Explained in plain English

Why are prices still rising?

Even though factories reported slower cost increases and lower price rises, this doesn't mean prices are falling. It just means they're going up at a slower rate than before. You might still see your weekly shop costing more, but hopefully, the increases won't be as steep as they have been recently.
