Why are number plates needed?

Number plates are being introduced to help identify riders and bikes after incidents, addressing public concerns about dangerous riding. Currently, identifying a specific rider from a fleet of thousands is difficult. The plates, bearing existing codes, will make it much faster to link a bike to a user, improving accountability and safety on the streets.
