Why are hospital fires so bad?

Hospital fires, like the one in Islamabad, are particularly devastating due to the presence of vulnerable patients, such as newborns, who can't easily evacuate. Medical equipment, oxygen tanks, and flammable materials can also intensify fires and create toxic smoke, making escape and rescue efforts much harder for staff and emergency services.
