Who is General Petraeus?

General David Petraeus is a highly respected former US Army general who commanded forces in Iraq and Afghanistan, and later led the CIA. His experience makes his views on military strategy and NATO reform, especially after the Ukraine war, particularly influential. He's advising the UK House of Lords on defence.
