Who is Acas?

Acas, the Advisory, Conciliation and Arbitration Service, is an independent public body that helps resolve workplace disputes. Before going to a tribunal, employees must contact Acas for early conciliation, a process that remains unchanged by the new six-month rule. They aim to help parties reach an agreement without needing a formal hearing.
