England, Wales employees get 6 months for tribunal claims.
From October 1, employees in England and Wales will have six months to submit claims to an employment tribunal, extended from the previous three months. The Employment Rights Act 2025 aims to give workers and employers more time to resolve disputes internally. The new rule only applies to issues arising on or after October 1, and the process of notifying Acas remains unchanged.
