Who funds legal training?

Legal training can be expensive, and historically, pupillages have been competitive and sometimes unpaid or poorly paid. This new government scheme provides £1.5 million annually to fund 100 extra criminal barrister pupillages, making it easier for new advocates to enter the profession and address staffing shortages.
