Who are the Houthis fighting?
The Houthis are a Shia Islamist political and military organisation from Yemen. They are fighting a Saudi-led coalition that intervened in Yemen in 2015 to support the internationally recognised government against the Houthis. This wider conflict explains why Saudi targets like Riyadh Airport are being attacked.
