Explained in plain English

Where is fog most common?

While eastern England is experiencing fog today, the UK's foggiest places are often in the south west, particularly around Dartmoor and Bodmin Moor. These elevated areas, combined with moist air from the Atlantic, create ideal conditions for fog to form frequently, sometimes for days at a time.
