Where does the money go?

When a player like Joao Gomes is transferred, the buying club, Liverpool in this case, pays a fee to the selling club, Wolves. This money is then used by Wolves for various things: reinvesting in new players, improving stadium facilities, or covering operational costs like wages. A small percentage also goes to the player's former clubs and agents.
