Explained in plain English
What's 'premiumisation'?
Premiumisation is when companies focus on selling fewer, more expensive products with higher profit margins, rather than lots of cheaper ones. Apple's potential iPhone Ultra, costing more than a MacBook, is a prime example. It's about creating a perception of luxury and exclusivity, encouraging customers to pay more for perceived superior quality or features.
