Apple's next iPhone may cost more than a MacBook

If analysts are right, Apple's first foldable would be its priciest phone ever, costing more than many MacBooks. Research firm IDC expects the device, tipped as the iPhone Ultra, to sell for about $2,500 on average, with top storage versions near $3,000. Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo puts the starting price between $2,299 and $2,499, and Apple has confirmed neither pricing nor a launch date.
