What is the transfer window?

The transfer window is a set period, usually in summer and January, when football clubs can buy and sell players between leagues. Outside these windows, transfers are generally not allowed. Clubs like Liverpool and PSG plan their squad changes around these windows, making bids and signing players like Mika Godts within these specific timeframes.
