What is the Food Standards Agency?

The Food Standards Agency (FSA) is a non-ministerial government department responsible for food safety and food hygiene across England, Wales, and Northern Ireland. Their main goal is to protect public health and consumer interests in relation to food. They provide advice to consumers and businesses, and enforce food law.
