What is the Curiosity rover?

Curiosity is a robotic explorer, about the size of a small car, that NASA sent to Mars. It's been exploring the planet since 2012, studying its geology and climate to find out if Mars ever had the conditions for life. Its instruments analyse rocks and soil, sending back amazing pictures and data, like the recent honeycomb discovery.
