What is settled status?

Settled status is a UK immigration status for EU citizens and their family members who were living in the UK before 1 January 2021. It grants them the right to live, work and study in the UK indefinitely. Nidia Webb, though not an EU citizen, would have a similar digital status as a long term resident, which was confused with her twin's.
