What is Halley's Comet?
Halley's Comet is a famous 'periodic' comet, meaning it returns to our inner solar system at regular intervals. It's the only naked-eye comet that might be seen twice in a human lifetime, last appearing in 1986 and expected back in 2061. The debris it leaves behind creates the Orionid meteor shower each autumn.
