What is Broad Peak?

Broad Peak is one of the world's highest mountains, standing in the Karakoram range on the border of Pakistan and China. It reaches over 8,000 metres into the sky. Nirmal Purja was leading an expedition there when the fatal avalanche struck, highlighting the extreme dangers climbers face on these colossal peaks even with vast experience.
