What is a 'leadership group'?
A leadership group in football is a collection of players, often including the captain and vice-captains, who share responsibility for guiding the team. This spreads the workload and ensures multiple voices contribute to team morale and decision-making. Barcelona's five-man group, including Yamal, shows a modern approach to shared leadership, rather than relying on just one or two individuals.
