What is a hybrid carrier air wing?
A hybrid carrier air wing combines traditional crewed aircraft, like the F-35B jets mentioned, with uncrewed strike systems such as the Nyan drones. This integration allows for a more flexible and potent force, where drones can perform high-risk missions or scout ahead, complementing the capabilities of piloted jets. This trial marks a significant step for the Royal Navy.
