What is a hurricane?

Hurricanes are powerful tropical storms with strong winds and heavy rain, like Hurricane Lala hitting Hawaii. They form over warm ocean waters and rotate around a calm 'eye'. Depending on their wind speed, they're categorised from 1 to 5, with Category 1 being the least intense but still dangerous.
